Westcott Estate Pinot Noir, Canada
Canada isn't just Mounties and Ice Hockey ...
Tastes like: Black Cherry. Vanilla. Sweet Spice. Earthy. Caramel. Leather. Smoky.
We present the first wine added to our range from Canada and what a stunner we have for you.
This is a fine example of a sustainable cool climate loving Pinot Noir. Canada possibly sits further down the list when you think of wine countries, but the lovely warm summers in between Canada's famed freezing winters make it well suited to producing high quality wines.
This complex Pinot Noir is aged for 23 months in French oak with a whole cluster wild fermentation. The 2017 vintage gives a brilliant display of a cool climate style wine with fresh acidity and bright fruit.
What we also love about Westcott is that Grant and Carolyn are excited about the promise their wines are showing and strive to improve every year, constantly growing and listening - to the earth, the grapes, and their customers. This struck such a chord with us as a beautifully holistic approach to winemaking.
