Tastes like: Juicy Lemon. Ripe Pineapple. Fresh Cut Grass. Nettle. Zest Citrus and Crisp Mineral Finish.

Chilled & Tannin is delighted to be the first UK wine shop to showcase the award-winning bottles from top Bulgarian winery, Midalidare, whose range just swept the board with top medals at this year's Champagne and Sparkling Wine World Championships!

This still white wine shows off the enormous potential of these two classic Bordeaux Blend white grape varieties in the Thracian Lowlands, one of Bulgaria's two PGI recognised quality wine regions, located in the South of the country.

The 100% estate-grown grapes come from two vineyards; 95% Sauvignon Blanc from Shipkata and Prisovete vineyards and 5% Semillon from Prisovete vineyard. Unoaked, fand with lovely pineapple and zesty lemon notes, the wine is vinified in stainless steel to retain its fresh and minerally nature.

Bulgaria is hotly tipped to be a wine region to look out for in the coming years, offering immense bang for your buck - but it should come as no surprise that there are some incredible, top quality wines coming from Bulgarian producers as they have some rather fine pedigree as a winemaking nation on the world stage.

Wine has been produced in Bulgaria since antiquity with archaeological evidence suggesting the area was amongst the earliest wine regions in history. In the 1980s Bulgaria was one of the largest wine markets on the international stage and it's said that Winston Churchill was a huge fan of the red wines too, regularly stocking his cellars with barrels and bottles.
