Ponte Pietra Trebbiano / Garganega
People say on the Ponte Pietra, even the Adige River stops to admire the view...
Tastes likes: Dry. Refreshing. Green apple. Citrusy. Stone fruits. Flowers. Herby.
The name "Ponte Pietra" refers to an old stone bridge in the hills of Verona that dates back to Roman times. The old stone bridge is like the wise old guardian of the city, having witnessed the rise and fall of empires while standing tall over the Adige River. It seemed the perfect name for a wine produced from that region, as the vines too have stood the test of time... it has been said that the vines in the area have thrived long before the bridge spanned over the Adige River.
The Ponte Pietra White is a blend of Trebbiano and Garganega. Trebbiano on its own is like a trusty old friend that produces refreshing and easy going table wines that have green apple and citrus flavours. Whereas Garganega is Trebbiano's more sophisticated cousin, adding refinement and acidity to the blend, as well as flavours of lemon, pear, white peach, flowers, almond and thyme.
