Pinot Noir, Te Kano, Central Otago
Sowing The Seeds of Love
Tastes like: Dark cherry. Ripe Plum . Mocha. Dried Herb. Touch of Smoke .
Lovers of fine Burgundian Pinot Noir - or those who can only dream of affording top crus - can more than scratch their bibulous itch with the most premium Pinot from Central Otago.
Our chief sipper Alex has tasted this wine alongside top Burgundy reds as well as judging it for a recent competition and it fared so well we added it in for our Christmas selection.
This wine is complex, meticulously crafted and comes from winemakers who are genuinely lovely people who's approach is not only sustainable but regenerative - meaning they strive to leave the soil and eco system in an even better state than when they got it. Grapes are farmed using organic practices.
Te Kano means 'seed' in Māori and The Lloyd Family believe the seeds you sow today will be what blossoms for future generations.
