They say the Italians endeavour keep the best vino for themselves (and who can blame them!) but our man in Italy has helped us to track down and sneak out some of the good stuff for your bibulous gratification. 

This is an absolute banger of a Montepulciano d’Abruzzo and we loved it enough to import a palate load direct to our HQ - meaning a saving for you and fewer road miles.

Rhod has subsequently made this his go to summer drop; be it a leisurely Tuesday lunch snifter, a sundown bottle after a hefty hoeing session on our Welsh vineyard or a 4am after party straightener. Quite simply it’s a wine for any occasion (or tentative excuse!)

Inspired by magical places between the Adriatic sea and the high mountains where the stunning old stone buildings filled the wine makers with the motivation to create Pietrame. "Pietra" means "A stone", and these wines are characterised by strong character and decisive style. Typical for mountain climates and soils. 

It comes from the award winning Cantina Tollo who are renowned for producing amazing organic and bio wines. This sustainable example is no different with no nasty chemicals used in the vineyard.

The TLC they put into their wine is extrodiany and means you can be confident you are getting an absolute bargain and it won’t cost the planet either.
