Phelps Creek is a boutique winery located in Oregon (Columbia Gorge AVA) focusing on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. In the 2000s, owner Bob Morus collaborated with Alexandrine Roy, from famous Domaine Roy in Gevrey Chambertin, and now produces classic Burgundian-style wine.

The estate is nestled in the picturesque Hood River area where the vines grow under the watchful eye of the majestic Mount Hood. The estate has been LIVE certified for sustainable winemaking since 2021 which ticks even more boxes for us too - bravo.

And this Pinot Noir certainly caught our eye after it was showcases at our last grand tasting event with oodles of red fruit and mouth watering acidity, combined with rich savoury and meaty notes and a long long finish.

Each parcel of grapes is vinified separately and the wine is aged for 11 months in French oak, with 10% of the barrels being new oak, adding extra charater and depth.
