A little slice of Abruzzo sunshine. This is Pecorino doing what it does best: bright, aromatic and seriously refreshing, with plenty of juicy fruit and a lovely bit of Italian attitude.

Made by Francesco Cirelli in Abruzzo, this is 100% Pecorino from organically farmed vineyards in the Colline Pescaresi. The grapes are destemmed and given a short 24-hour maceration before being gently pressed and fermented in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts.

In the glass, it’s crisp and zippy, bringing lemon and floral notes alongside a whole bowlful of mango and papaya. There’s plenty of acidity keeping all that ripe fruit feeling fresh rather than heavy, with a clean, citrusy finish that makes you want another glass almost immediately.

Pour it properly chilled with seafood, shellfish, pasta or pizza. Or just stick a bottle in the fridge and let it do its thing on a sunny afternoon. Organic, vegan and dangerously easy to drink.
