Bang for your bacchus!
Tastes like: Fragrant elderflower, green apples, gooseberry, crushed nettles after a downpour.
Rob found these boxes in our warehouse and realised we didn't have them listed on the website! After strangling a junior team member it turns out that they had formerly been on a wholesale customers wine list and "just never got added".
So most importantly - despite the name - NO OAK IS INVOLVED IN THIS WINE MAKING MASTERCLASS.
Nine Oaks Vineyard uses sustainable viticulture practices and grows its vines on chalky, free draining soils in Hothfield, Kent. The grapes are hand harvested from yield controlled vines. Whole bunch pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks - see most important paragraph above!
Not importantly at all - but interestingly - Viticulturist Peter Morio created this wine variety in 1933 while working at the Geilweilerhof Institute for Grape Breeding (what a place to work!) - it was released to the world for general cultivation in 1972.
Priced to sell and drinking superbly.

We clean up after ourselves.
Ecommerce deliveries have a carbon footprint. That's why we support verified projects that remove carbon from the air.
Every delivery’s carbon footprint is calculated based on weight, shipping method, and distance traveled. We neutralize these emissions by purchasing verified carbon removal credits from groundbreaking projects. When you add a contribution to your order, 100% of that money is used to pay for additional carbon removal.
With your purchase, you’ll join a community of proactive merchants and customers dedicated to a sustainable future. Together, we've removed emissions for over 84 million deliveries and removed over 58 thousand tonnes of carbon.
We work with a network of pioneering carbon removal companies that have been vetted by the commerce platform Shopify.
