We aren’t sure if Pato Banton likes his South African sparkling wine - but Alex thinks he should try this ‘fokken ongelooflik’ sparkler.

Tastes like: Green apple, Wild jasmine, Lime zest, Brioche.

The grapes were hand picked for this vintage in cool morning temperatures, left in whole bunches for pressing, and transferred to stainless steel tanks for fermentation. The blended wine was left on the lees in tank for 7 months before secondary fermentation in bottles under a crown cap. The wine was left to mature on lees for 26 months before disgorgement.

Charles Back was presented with a lifetime achievement award back in 2014 - when he was only 58 years old - then he continued achieving things in SA winemaking - and in 2025 he has awarded the Veritas Living Legends Scroll of Honour! So this must be a winery we can trust!
