Southern French sunshine in a bottle. Bright, zippy and seriously refreshing, this is Picpoul doing what it does best — punchy citrus, lively acidity and a mouthwatering finish that practically demands another sip. No messing about, just a cracking glass of white.

Made by Anaïs Ricome at Domaine La Croix Gratiot, in the Languedoc’s Picpoul de Pinet appellation, this is 100% Picpoul from vineyards near the Mediterranean. The vines grow on a chalky limestone plateau, where cooling sea breezes help preserve the grape’s aromatic character and natural freshness.

The 2025 grapes were harvested at night to keep things fresh, then gently pressed and fermented at around 15°C in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks. The wine is unoaked and spends a short time resting on its fine lees, adding a little texture without taking away from that lovely, crisp fruit.

Expect fresh lime and grapefruit, bright acidity and a clean, persistent finish. Crisp, balanced and ridiculously easy to get along with. Basically, the wine equivalent of a refreshing dip in the Med.

Get it properly chilled alongside oysters, prawns, grilled fish or a big bowl of mussels. It’s practically made for seafood — but a sunny afternoon and a few glasses will do just fine too.
