Loco has the honour of being the only White Grenache wine from central Spain. So an absolute rarity and we have bagged some of these crazy bottles. After a long and arduous search, they finally found a few White Grenache vines - a variety that’s nearly extinct due to how complex it is to grow. It’s a highly sensitive variety, both to high temperatures and humidity, which is why work at the sorting table during difficult years is done grape by grape.

The name came from the former owner of the neglected piece of land where these 65-year-old vines were found: he was seen as the 'village idiot'. Almost deranged. But who's had the last laugh now? 

It ferments for 6 months, half of which is in barrels with battonage and the other half in tanks on the fine lees. The result is a wine with an intense, clean, defined and complex nose. It’s broad, very well-balanced, with magnificent acidity and a long and persistent finish. Some might say its insane!
