It comes from the acclaimed Pierre Doreés (meaning "golden stones") region of Beaujolais, near to Lyon, which is nicknamed The Little Tuscany due to its sun-soaked ochre landscape.
Not only is it organically produced but it’s also made without added sulphites. And it’s bloomin’ delicious to boot.
A prime example of how many producers in this region are using lower intervention to make beautifully crafted wines.
Expect all the trademark Beaujolais characteristics - bright red fruit, and a hint of green banana skin plus a lovely, lively minerality too.
Serve slightly chilled if you like.
