Allegrini Palazzo della Torre Rosso Veronese
Happy place / Happy Palace!
Tastes like - Silky Tannins. Bramble fruit. Candied Fig. Dark Chocolate. Earthy
The Allegrini family have been in the business of making wine for the last 170 years, and are considered part of the fabric of the rich tapestry that is valpolicella production in Verona. In the hands of new generation family members, the winery shows homage to the traditions of Veronese winemaking whilst still embracing the need for more modern and responsible winemaking methods. The winery is organic and sustainable whilst also doing its bit for biodiversity and reducing its carbon footprint through its energy efficiency program. Bravo to them!
With a blend of Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, and Sangiovese, this wine is a symphony of ripe dark fruits, silky tannins, and a hint of dark chocolate and sweet spices. The ripasso method is used in the production of this wine, which increases its richness and complexity. This wine is certainly a sensational fireplace sipper or would pair beautifully with lamb or game dishes.
