Thanks to the canny folks at Bath’s Canned Wine Co we’re delighted to serve up a truly bodacious wine in this super sustainable format.

Aluminium cans are recyclable forever and much lighter that glass bottles, giving them a much small carbon footprint. This is serious wine in a can - perfect for parties, picnics, train journeys or sneaking into the cinema!

Canned Wine Co. work directly with handpicked growers and this floral, unctuous Vin comes from Viognier specialist Laurent Miquel in the South of France.

And he has matured the wine in Burgundian oak prior to canning to add complexity and richness - so this wine gives you a lot of bang for your buck!

Our in house wine aficionado Bethan was more than a tad impressed on tasting it too…

“I don’t drink much Viognier but really enjoyed this one. I poured it into a glass to see the pale lemon colour with some spritzy bubbles on first opening. The nose is floral and citrusy with a hint of tinned mandarin. The palate is buttery with a hint of oak and a lovely oily mouthfeel.

“Verdict - forget the glass, I’d happily drink this straight from the can on a sunny day, it’s lovely. And the cans are really pretty too!”
