Billo, Blai Ferré Just, Priorat DOQ
Oh my God that's the funky schist!
Tastes like: Floral. Rustic. Red Fruits. Black Tea. Spicy. Earthy. Smoky. Crunchy Tannins.
This dynamic Priorat comes from exciting winemaker Blai Ferré Just, who began working his magic on a special plot of Garnacha vines aged just 22. He’s now part of the region’s exciting new wave winemaking movement.
He shuns the over-extracted, super ripe and oaky style this Catalonian DOQ is known for and instead creates an approachable, low-intervention beauty embodying the dazzling minerality of the infamous smoky schist soil.
It's a natural wine with an earthy and slightly rustic nature but retains the incredible purity of fruit - a bodacious blend of Grenache, Syrah/Shiraz, Carignan and a "must try" wine from our range!
Spain - 2020 - 14.5% - 75cl
