Winemaker Leonardo Erazo wants to make wine with "life, vibrancy, tension, freshness and joy" and this bottle lives up to the hype. The grapes come from ungrafted old vines grown on the volcanic soil of the Itata Hills and is 100% Cinsault.
The wine has 14 months maturing in local, old Rauli wood barrels wood and other than that Leonardo takes a hands-off approach; organic viticulture, wild yeasts, unfined and unfiltered, yet it's a really fun and approachable wine and a super talking point for dinner parties (or just enough for one sitting by yourself - Rhod)
