Grüner Veltliner is Austria’s most quintessential grape variety and produces super food-friendly wines brimming with fresh fruit and delicious peppery flavours.
This first-class expression comes from female winemaker Heidi Fischer and her brother Roman Josef Pfaffl and as the name suggests it’s laden with a basket load of green orchard fruit characters on the nose and palate.
The siblings focus on making no-nonsense wines using a natural approach and minimum tinkering around in their Weinviertel winery near Vienna.
It’s no wonder they were awarded the title of European Winery of the Year 2016 by Wine Enthusiast Magazine.
