Portobello Road 171 Gin
THE GINSTITUTE
The back story to Portobello Road Gins creation began back in 2011 where, nestled above a 19th century drinking den on London's world famous Portobello Road, four long-time friends decided, after amassing a staggering collection of gin & artefacts, to open The Ginstitute! The location became home to a small 30L copper pot still, wonderfully named Copernicus the Second! It was here that, after a bit of home schooling on the do's and don'ts of gin making and a serious nine months of experimentation, Portobello Road Gin was created.
TASTING NOTE: Peppery and heavy berries with plenty of juniper. Well-integrated with juniper shinning through. Citrus fruit and a touch of red berries. Dry finish with more citrus.
Perfect serve - "best served simply with tonic and a twist of pink grapefruit." For a single use 25ml gin and 100ml tonic and for a double use 50ml gin and 150ml tonic.
