Garnacha Blanca, Fábula de Paniza, Cariñena DOP
“And forbeing so honest and sincere, she was given the name of her land: Cariñena.”
Tastes like: White Flowers. Minerals. Stone Fruit. Sour Pear. Citrus. Herby.
Everyday banger ALERT. This is a wine for all occasions. BBQ Glugging, Candle lit dinners or just because it's Monday. It is the sort of wine you just keep six lurking around the wine rack just in case. A great expression of the land which makes it instantly appealing.
Sourced from the hilly slopes of the Iberian Mountains of Aragon. This 60 years old Bodega covers 3,000 hectares of vineyards and produces an array of wine style under six different labels. Fabula is a range of single varietals using the best grapes from Grenache, Syrah, Carignan, Chardonnay and White Grenache revealing their optimum expression.
Coming from exciting winemaker Antonio Serrano who has sharpened his cellar skills in wineries around the world, from France to the United States and Australia to Spain.
When it comes to grape varieties, he’s particularly interested in Garnacha, Syrah and Pinot Noir, but is most inspired by “moments, feelings, and places” when he’s at work. Wine makes itself, he says modestly of his role: “I just try to make sure that it follows the path dictated by the set of circumstances each year.”
