A wine to snap up while our allocation lasts, Big Salt is - according to the crafty winemakers at OVUM - a bottle that encapsulates the wild Oregon coast, from salty kisses to the breezy Pacific spritz in the air.
This deep orange skin contact wine is a twist on their white wine of the same name.
OVUM hand pick grapes from 10 unique organic and sustainable Oregon sites at opulent ripeness levels for complexity and character.
It's a combination of Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Early Muscat, Sauvign Blanc and Pinot Gris... but what make this wine super special is that OVUM co-ferment the fruit, starting with the Gewurztraminer and then adding the other grapes when they reach optimum ripeness.
