The bread basket of the world is also arguably its fruit bowl (their watermelons are legendary) and despite the ongoing turmoil, Ukraine’s winemakers are battling on to continue their harvests and heritage.

And in solidarity we’re now selling this smashing vino from Odessa made with 100% Odessky Cherny (which is a tantalising cross between Cabernet Sauvignon and Alicante Busche grape varieties).

We’ve been sourcing this wine for a restaurant client for around 6 months and now have some stock to offer to you too.

And coming from such a brave nation this wine isn’t for the faint hearted - it’s full bodied, developed, complex and packs a punch - but most importantly it’s damned tasty. Great to pair with red meat and cheeses.
