Tastes like: Ripe Cranberry. Cherry. Blackberry. Toasted. Spice.

160 years of vineyard ownership - WOW. At Bodegas Ochoa they try and convey that in every bottle they produce. With the utmost care in the vineyard and skillful organic winemaking, they continue to set the standard for quality wines in the region - and they're undoubtedly some of the best wines we've tasted from Navarra and indeed neighbouring Rioja.

We love the fact that this wine, La Foto de 1938, is a tribute to Adriano – the grandfather of the two sisters who now run the winery – who always had a bottle of his crowd-pleasing “special wine” to uncork with his many friends.

He sounds like our kind of guy and all the more reason for you to buy it and share it with your chosen Vina lovers.

The image on the label is of Adriano and his chums with his prize automobile in 1938.

It’s a blend of Merlot, Tempranillo and Graciano, aged for 9 months in American and French oak barrels, this wine is just as at home on the Sunday lunch table as it is cracked open for cheeky mid-week tipple.
