All the way from South Australia with love x

Tastes like: Ripe Plum. Raspberry. Blueberry. Cracked Black Pepper. Tarragon. Tannic.

Another beauty from the renowned Henschke vineyard down in Australia. Henschke is at the pinnacle of Australian wine making, offering up some stunning bottles. Six generations of wine making history now proudly sit in this vineyard. Stephen and Prue make a formidable team undertaking astonishing wine making and brilliant viticulture. One of our founders also has a connection to the vineyard so we will look forward to visiting soon.

We picked Henry's Seven because this also offers an interesting blend. The shiraz, grenache, mataro, viognier blend is a tribute to Henry Evans who planted the first vineyard of seven acres at Keyneton in 1853. He quickly developed a reputation for producing the best wines in the southern colony. This is an excellent tribute.

We highly recommend trying this wine, we found letting it breathe made for a stunning experience. An insanely interesting nose.

Critical Acclaim

94 points HUON HOOKE - THE REAL REVIEW

"Deep red/purple colour with a strong earth, soil and rock aroma. Very intense spice and dark berry flavours and aromas throughout – rich and lush, with traces of licoricey bitterness of a pleasant kind. Very spicy; also intense, deep, rich and complex. Delicious fruit-sweet core. Concentrated, juicy and utterly lovely."
