Roussanne can sometimes be a bit shy and serious — but this glorious Barossa version absolutely bursts out of the glass with perfume, texture and sunshiney charm. Rich enough to feel luxurious, fresh enough to keep you immediately reaching for another sip.
Dandelion Vineyards source the fruit for Honeypot of the Barossa from old vine Roussanne vineyards in the cooler eastern ranges of the Barossa. The wine takes its name from the grape’s naturally honeyed aromatics and textural richness, whilst still retaining that lovely lift and freshness that makes Roussanne such an underrated white variety.
The 2024 vintage was hand harvested before fermentation in French oak barrels, helping build texture and complexity without overwhelming the delicate floral and stone fruit character. Lees stirring during maturation adds further richness and that beautifully rounded mouthfeel that gives the wine its wonderfully silky personality.
Absolutely glorious with roast chicken, grilled prawns, creamy pasta dishes or giant sunny lunches that accidentally roll into the evening.
