At Chilled & Tannin we are like wine magpies - always flapping over tempted by new delicious wines and curious regions - but there’s one place that always draws us back and that is Rioja.
This alluring and complex Rioja Reserva is aged for 24 months in American and French oak, resulting in a bold and yet elegant wine.
It’s everything we love about the aged wines from this corner of Spain - well crafted and matured for a ludicrous amount of time in toasty oak considering the price of the bottle.
This Bodega only use fruit from their own vineyards which are located on the limestone ridges of arguably of the best Rioja region, Alavesa, and the wine spends considerably longer in barrel than the minimum legal requirement.
This is an exceptional expression of the Tempranillo grape with 10% Graciano. It's still young and will age effortlessly if you lay it down.
