Merlot Peumal ...

Tastes like: BlackBerry. Blueberry. Padron and green bell peppers. Dried Herbs. Mint. Dusty tannins.

If the label does not draw you in then the liquid will. This is a wine shrouded in secrecy which is so more-ish it will disappear right before your eyes!

This mysterious wine is crafted by a duo who scour the Chilean countryside hunting for top plots of sustainable, biodynamic and organically farmed old Carménère vines.

This full-bodied grape is a bit of an enigma itself. Having become practically extinct in its homeland of France in the 1800s, Chilean winemakers discovered in the 1970s that much of the thriving Merlot they’d been farming for generations was, in fact, Carménère.

We love this wine for so many reasons. A low intervention masterclass that is hand picked, sustainable and comes from 30 year old vines. It lets the fruit do the talking. If you are anything like us you will very much enjoy the conversation.
