Like all great double acts, the Marchesseau brothers use each of their individual skills to craft an artistry which is more than the sum of its parts.
Bertrand overlooks the organically farmed vineyard and low intervention vinification and Vincent is the canny mastermind behind the trade and eye-catching branding.
Their Chinon vineyard is one of their three carefully tended Loire plots and it produces this expressive Cabernet Franc thanks to its sandy soil (atypical for this AOC); packed with candied fruit, electrifying minerality and savoury flavours. Delicious!
Ampoule is the French word for lightbulb and this wine is certainly an enlightening spark of genius!
