Tastes like: Crunchy Orchard Fruit. Hint of Smoke and Creaminess. Low Alcohol.

Wales is fast becoming a pioneering place for wine production and this exciting and super-limited release is a collaboration between the team at Velfrey in Pembrokeshire and the talented David Morris at Mountain People Wines in Monmouthshire.

Its crunchy orchard flavours come from the late picked grapes - harvested last November - and it is a low intervention wine that is low in alcohol and a perfect tipple for those who enjoy natural vino!

Here’s the science bit; it has been naturally fermented meaning no added yeast or sugar, half in stainless steel and half in old oak barrels that were previously used for white Bordeux which lends a gentle smoky flavour. Lees stirring has introduced body and a creaminess. The two ferments were then combined before slow settling and repeated racking. No filtration or fining were used to avoid stripping out the flavour compounds.

Our Rhod just thinks it’s damned tasty and well worth grabbing a bottle of while you can!
