Freedom Cross Chenin Blanc, Franschhoek
The sweet taste of freedom
Tastes like: Ripe Apple. Pineapple. Passion fruit. Melon. Tropical. Zesty. Fresh.
What the wine region of Franschhoek lacks in size, it more than makes up for in its beauty and long winemaking heritage.
Grapes were first planted in this picturesque valley by French Huguenot refugees in the 17th century, so it goes without saying that classic French varieties like Chenin Blanc still pump through the locals’ veins.
This zesty, tropical wine is fresh, ripe and unoaked with moderately low alcohol making it a quintessential quaffer. And like so many wines from this fabulous region it’s made sustainability and with integrity too.
