Rascallion’s Adam Sleet isn’t one to dwell on talk of technical wine jargon and his self-proclaimed mission is to change the conversation of wine.
He prefers to let the wines speak for themselves and his 33 1/3 RPM and 45 RPM blends are crafted to amplify the composition of their parts whilst having a depth and richness to them - rather like listening to a nostalgic record on vinyl.
The 2020 release is an aromatic and textured blend, comprising 40% Chenin Blanc, 30% Grenache Blanc, 20% Viognier and 10% Chardonnay.
The grapes come from low yielding, exceptional vineyards in the high lying Piekenierskloof region in the Citrusdal Mountains.
