Montgomery Rosé, Powys
It’s come up rosé
Tastes like: Strawberry. Ripe raspberry. Pink Grapefruit. Rhubarb.
We’re avid believers that there is much more to Rosé wines than Provence and you couldn’t get farther from the Côte d’Azur than picturesque Montgomeryshire in mid-Wales.
Here the Solaris, Seyval Blanc and Pinot Noir grapes ripen patiently during the long Summer days.
The result is a characterful yet fresh wine with red berries, zippy citrus and a hint of rhubarb.
The team at Montgomery Vineyard began their journey in 2012 to create the first-class signature Welsh wines and their vineyard is based in a unique part of Wales, the garden of Montgomeryshire.
They have hand planted vines on South facing slopes and they pick by hand to encapsulate the quality of their wines.
A deep respect for the wine making process, geology and understanding of time means they release the wines when they are ready.
And as they say.. 'As a family run vineyard, we don’t think in years. We think in generations..' Another Bravo for Montgomery Vineyards.
