Rascallion’s Adam Sleet isn’t one to dwell on talk of technical wine jargon and his self proclaimed mission is to change the conversation of wine.
He prefers to let the wines speak for themselves and his 33 1/3 RPM and 45 RPM blends are crafted to amplify the composition of their parts whilst having a depth and richness to them - rather like listening to a nostalgic record on vinyl.
The 2020 release is a plush, succulent and aromatic blend in a North Rhone style with 40% Cinsault, 25% Grenache, 25% Mourvèdre and 10% Tannat grapes.
The grapes come from low yielding, exceptional vineyards in the high lying Piekenierskloof region in the Citrusdal Mountains.
