Barolo del Comune di Serralunga d'Alba DOCG 2019
This is my sort of last Rolo...
Tastes like: Violets. Bright Red Berries. Leather. Balsamic. Forest Floor. Silky.
This is a delicate and elegant Barolo. Natural wine at it's best. Ferdinando Principiano moved to organic production in 2003. Ever since he has been highly rewarded by the purity and drinkability of his wines. Whats more this vineyard is on the southern fringe of the Barolo zone, meaning they benefit from the biodiversity of the Alta Langhe wilderness that lies beyond the dense planting of Nebbiolo vineyards.
We love this wine because of the natural processes used to produce this outstanding bottle of utter joy. Unfiltered, without added sulphur and then aged for 24 months in oak barrels. Resulting in a vibrant Barolo that will take you on a magical mystery tour of sensations. Enjoy it now or let it be ‘Laid down & Tannin’ for 8-10 years.
